Mother and Seal Pup Handmade Stone Ornament

Hand-made ceramic seals, individually crafted by John Parkes of Animal Friends.  

Each seal is shaped individually from a ball of stoneware clay to give a distinctive character and attitude, based on study and observation. After an initial firing, they are decorated with clay slips, oxides and glazes and finally fired to about 1100 degrees. This free and flexible approach allows him to create an interesting and varied collection based on observations of wild seals off the Cornish Coast.

This process means each and every ceramic seal ornament is unique, making each piece different from each other!
